Kerala government to adopt colour code to private buses

The private buses are painted in different colors, which will be brought under the color code, to facilitate the commuter know the service approaching him/her by the color of the bus. City buses will have the green color, rural mofussil) ordinary buses will be in blue color, Limited stop in Maroon color.Along with, three lines are drawn in off-white at the bottom of its body.( The Kerala government will implement this color code, beginning from February 2018. Motor Vehicle Department has given time up to February 2019 to all the bus owners to change the colors of their buses accordingly...

RBI Introduces New Chocolate brown Ten Rupee Note

MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has come out with a new design chocolate brown ten rupee note. The new note will have the same height of 63mm as the current ten rupee note but the width will be 123mm - slightly lesser than the 137mm width of the existing note. Besides the colour and the size, another main difference is that the reverse of the note will carry a motif of the Konark Sun Temple. The existing ten rupee note carries the image of fauna of India - rhinoceros, elephant and tiger. The RBI said that it will shortly be putting out the new note into circulation bearing signature of governor Urjit Patel. The note has other designs, geometric patterns aligning with the overall colour scheme, both at the obverse and reverse. Existing banknotes in the denomination of Rs 10 issued by the RBI in the earlier series will continue to be legal tender. Other features of the new not include, a see-through register with denominational numeral 10, Denominational numeral 10 in Devnagari script, portrait of Mahatma Gandhi at the centre, The new note will continue to have windowed demetalised security thread with inscriptions 'Bharat (in devnagri ).

Jio Phone Bookings Start

NEW DELHI: For just Rs 500, you can book Reliance's Jio 4G feature phone.

At the Reliance Industries' 40th AGM, Mukesh Ambani had announced that interested consumers will be able to book the new 4G Jio feature phone at an "effective" price of Rs 0. The company had announced that a refundable security deposit of Rs 1,500 will be taken for the device to stop misuse. The deposit will be refunded after three years.

Here is how and where you can book Jio 4G phone:

1. You can book the phone either online -- on jio.com and MyJio mobile application -- or offline Jio retailers, multi-brand device retailers and Reliance Digital stores.

2. Phone can be booked by paying Rs 500 on the first-come-first-serve basis. The remaining Rs 1,000 can be paid at the time of delivery. Customers can get a full-refund of the security deposit of Rs 1,500 by returning the used JioPhone after 36 months.

200 രൂപ നോട്ടുകള്‍ അടുത്ത മാസമേ പുറത്തിറക്കൂ എന്നായിരുന്നു നേരത്തെ പ്രചരിച്ച വാര്‍ത്തകളെങ്കിലും വിനായകചതുര്‍ത്ഥി ദിവസമായ ഇന്ന് പുതിയ നോട്ടുകള്‍ പുറത്തിറക്കാന്‍ തീരുമാനിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ 200 രൂപ നോട്ടിനൊപ്പം 50 രൂപ നോട്ടുകള്‍ കൂടി പുറത്തിറക്കിയത് തീര്‍ത്തും അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായിട്ടായിരുന്നു
