ടെലികോം അതോറിറ്റി ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ പുതിയ നിര്ദേശമനുസരിച്ച് രാജ്യത്തെ ഡിടിഎച്ച്, കേബിള് ടിവി ശൃംഖലകള്ക്ക് വലിയ മാറ്റം സംഭവിക്കുകയാണ്. വന്കിട ചാനല്/ഡിടിഎച്ച് കമ്പനികളില് നിന്നുള്ള ചൂഷണം തടയുക എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെ രാജ്യത്ത് പ്രക്ഷേപണം ചെയ്യുന്ന ചാനലുകള്ക്ക് ട്രായ് പുതിയ നിരക്കുകള് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്. പുതിയ നിരക്കില് എല്ലാ ഡിടിഎച്ച്/ കേബിള് സേവനദാതാക്കളും നിശ്ചിത നിരക്കില് ചാനലുകള് നല്കേണ്ടിവരും. ബോക്കെ പാക്കേജുകളായി നല്കുന്ന ചാനലുകളുടെ വില 19 രൂപയില് കൂടരുതെന്നാണ് ട്രായിയുടെ നിര്ദേശം. ഇനി കൂടുകയാണെങ്കില് അവ ഒരോന്നായി പ്രത്യേകം നിരക്കില് നല്കണം. സൗജന്യ ചാനലുകള് ഈ പാക്കേജില് ഉള്പ്പെടുത്താനും പാടില്ല. ഇതനുസരിച്ച് പല ചാനലുകള്ക്കും ഇതിനോടകം വില പുതുക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ട്രായിയുടെ പുതിയ നിരക്ക് അനുസരിച്ച് 130 രൂപയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാന പാക്കേജില് 100 സ്റ്റാന്റേഡ് ഡെഫനിഷന് (എസ്.ഡി) ഫ്രീ റ്റു എയര് ചാനലുകള് ഉപയോക്താവിന് ലഭിക്കും. ഇതില് 26 നിര്ബന്ധിത സര്ക്കാര് ചാനലുകള് ഒഴികെയുള്ള 74 ചാനലുകള് ഉപയോക്താവിന് ഇഷ്ടാനുസരണം തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാവുന്നതാണ്. 100 ല് കൂടുതല് എസ്ഡി ചാനലുകള് വേണമെങ്കില് അധികമായി വരുന്ന 25 ചാനലുകള്ക്ക് 20 രൂപ അധികമായി നല്കേണ്ടി വരും.

ട്രായിയുടെ നിര്ദേശം അനുസരിച്ച് ഒരു എച്ച്ഡി ചാനല് രണ്ട് എസ്ഡി ചാനലുകള്ക്ക് തുല്യമാണ്. അതായത് അടിസ്ഥാന പാക്കേജില് 100 എസ്ഡി ചാനലുകള്ക്ക് പകരം 50 എച്ച്ഡി ചാനലുകള് നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് ലഭിക്കും (ഉദാഹരണം മാത്രം).

പേ ചാനലുകള്ക്ക് അധിക തുക നല്കണം. ഉദാഹരണത്തിന് അടിസ്ഥാന വിലയില് വരുന്ന 100 ചാനലുകള്ക്ക് പുറത്താണ് പേ ചാനലുകള് വരുന്നത്. എഷ്യാനെറ്റ് പോലുള്ള ചാനലുകള് ഉദാഹരണമായി പറയാം. അങ്ങനെയുള്ള ഒരോ ചാനലും പ്രത്യേകം കാശുകൊടുത്ത് പാക്കേജിനൊപ്പം ചേര്ക്കണം. 130 രൂപയ്ക്ക് പുറമെ വരുന്ന തുകയാണത്. അധികമായി ചേര്ക്കേണ്ടത് ഒരു ചാനല് മാത്രമാണെങ്കില് പോലും ഉപയോക്താവിന് അത് സാധിക്കും. ഇഷ്ടമില്ലാത്തതും ആവശ്യമില്ലാത്തതുമായ ചാനലുകള് ഉപയോക്താക്കള് മേല് അടിച്ചേല്പ്പിക്കുന്ന രീതി ഇതോടെ അവസാനിക്കും.

സുരക്ഷ ഉറപ്പാക്കുന്നതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി പഴയ രീതിയിലുള്ള എടിഎം കാര്ഡുകള്ക്ക് നിരോധനം ഏര്പ്പെടത്തുന്നു. മാഗ്നെറ്റിക് സ്ട്രെപ് എടിംഎം കാര്ഡുകള്ക്കാണ് ജനുവരി ഒന്നുമുതല് നിരോധനം. ഡിസംബര് 31മുതല് ഇത്തരം കാര്ഡുകള് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കില്ല. മറിച്ച് യൂറോ പേ മാസ്റ്റര്കാര്ഡ് വിസ(ഇം.എം.വി) ചിപ്പുള്ള പിന് അധിഷഠിത എടിഎം കാര്ഡുകള് മാത്രമേ 2019 ജനുവരി മുതല് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുകയുള്ളു.

അതേസമയം നിലവിലുള്ള മാഗ്നറ്റിക് സ്ട്രൈപ് കാര്ഡുകള്ക്ക് പകരം ചിപ്പുള്ള കാര്ഡുകള് സൗജന്യമായി ഉപഭോക്താക്കള്ക്ക് നല്കാന് റിസര്വ് ബാങ്ക് നേരത്തെ നിര്ദ്ദേശിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇതിനോടകംതന്നെ നിരവധി ബാങ്കുകള് പഴയ എടിഎം കാര്ഡുകള്ക്ക് പകരം ചിപ്പുള്ള പുതിയ കാര്ഡുകള് നല്കിയിട്ടുമുണ്ട്.

രാജ്യത്ത് ഡെബിറ്റ് കാര്ഡുകല് ഉപയോഗിച്ചുള്ള തട്ടിപ്പ് കൂടിവരുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിലാണ് കൂടുതല് സുരക്ഷിതമായ ചിപ്പ് കാര്ഡുകള് ഉപഭോക്താക്കള്ക്ക് നല്കാന് ബാങ്കുകള് തയാറാകുന്നത്. ഉപഭോക്താവിന്റെ വിവരങ്ങള് സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്ന മൈക്രോ പ്രൊസസര് ചിപ്പാണ് ഇത്തരം കാര്ഡുകളില് അടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.

Kozhikode: The government has decided to install E-PoS (Electronic Point of Sale) machines in all ration shops in Kerala. The pilot project was launched at Karunagappally. Hence, all ration shops in Kerala will switch over to E-PoS machines by March. PoS machines will be introduced in ration shops to ensure transparency in public distribution system as recommended in the National Food Security Act. A total of 978 E-PoS machines are ready to be installed in ration shops at Kozhikode district. Electronic Point of Sale machines use biometric identification to ensure ration card-holders get their allotted share of foodgrains. These small machines are equipped with internet connection. The government hope that the machines will check malpractices in ration shops, including illegal sale of commodities in black market and distribution to non-beneficiaries. Meanwhile, ration card holders must link their card with aadhaar number to make purchase through this facility. Either the card holder or the members who have linked their aadhaar with the card can make purchases. E-PoS machine will identify the customer through the details in aadhaar number. The biometric machine will function after identifying the customer either by iris or fingerprint. The Civil Supplies Department will receive details of every purchase made with the machine. Officials from Food and Civil Supplies department will visit ration shops in Karunagappally to study the operation of the machine. Special training to operate the machine will be provided to ration shop dealers and employees in each district. Civil Supplies Department can monitor the supply of products to the beneficiaries through the system. Each ration shops will be made under complete control of the department. Details including closed shops and stock available in shops will come under supervision of the department.

City buses will have the green color, rural mofussil) ordinary buses will be in blue color, Limited stop in Maroon color.Along with, three lines are drawn in off-white at the bottom of its body.( The Kerala government will implement this color code, beginning from February 2018. RBI Introduces New Chocolate brown Ten Rupee Note

MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has come out with a new design chocolate brown ten rupee note. The new note will have the same height of 63mm as the current ten rupee note but the width will be 123mm - slightly lesser than the 137mm width of the existing note. Besides the colour and the size, another main difference is that the reverse of the note will carry a motif of the Konark Sun Temple. The existing ten rupee note carries the image of fauna of India - rhinoceros, elephant and tiger. The RBI said that it will shortly be putting out the new note into circulation bearing signature of governor Urjit Patel. The note has other designs, geometric patterns aligning with the overall colour scheme, both at the obverse and reverse. Existing banknotes in the denomination of Rs 10 issued by the RBI in the earlier series will continue to be legal tender. Other features of the new not include, a see-through register with denominational numeral 10, Denominational numeral 10 in Devnagari script, portrait of Mahatma Gandhi at the centre, The new note will continue to have windowed demetalised security thread with inscriptions 'Bharat (in devnagri ).

NEW DELHI: For just Rs 500, you can book Reliance's Jio 4G feature phone.

At the Reliance Industries' 40th AGM, Mukesh Ambani had announced that interested consumers will be able to book the new 4G Jio feature phone at an "effective" price of Rs 0. The company had announced that a refundable security deposit of Rs 1,500 will be taken for the device to stop misuse. The deposit will be refunded after three years.

Here is how and where you can book Jio 4G phone:

1. You can book the phone either online -- on jio.com and MyJio mobile application -- or offline Jio retailers, multi-brand device retailers and Reliance Digital stores.

2. Phone can be booked by paying Rs 500 on the first-come-first-serve basis. The remaining Rs 1,000 can be paid at the time of delivery. Customers can get a full-refund of the security deposit of Rs 1,500 by returning the used JioPhone after 36 months.

200 രൂപ നോട്ടുകള്‍ അടുത്ത മാസമേ പുറത്തിറക്കൂ എന്നായിരുന്നു നേരത്തെ പ്രചരിച്ച വാര്‍ത്തകളെങ്കിലും വിനായകചതുര്‍ത്ഥി ദിവസമായ ഇന്ന് പുതിയ നോട്ടുകള്‍ പുറത്തിറക്കാന്‍ തീരുമാനിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ 200 രൂപ നോട്ടിനൊപ്പം 50 രൂപ നോട്ടുകള്‍ കൂടി പുറത്തിറക്കിയത് തീര്‍ത്തും അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായിട്ടായിരുന്നു

Digital Locker Government of India

DigiLocker is a "digital locker" service launched by the Government of India in February 2015 to provide a secure dedicated personal electronic space for storing the documents of resident Indian citizens.The storage space is linked to the Unique Identification Authority of India (Aadhaar number) of the user. The space can be utilized for storing personal documents like University certificates, Permanent account number (PAN) cards, voter id cards, etc., and the URIs of the e-documents issued by various issuer departments. There is also an associated facility for e-signing documents. The service is intended to minimize the use of physical documents and to provide authenticity of the e-documents. It will also provide secure access to government issued documents. It is also intended to reduce administrative expenses of government departments and agencies and to make it easy for the residents to receive services. To signup the user must possess an Aadhar Card and a mobile number linked to it(Now linking to Aadhar number is not mandatory - You just need a mobile number to create an account in Digilocker).
